What we do
Waterproofing Remediation
Balconies, Bathrooms & Common Areas
The fault
Most waterproofing failures in multi-unit residences trace back to one thing: poor workmanship at the time of construction. Membranes installed over unprepared substrates, missing bond breakers, inadequate falls, unsealed penetrations and rushed detailing at junctions. Defects that stay hidden behind tiles and finishes until water finds its way into the building below.
We diagnose and permanently rectify these failures across balconies, terraces, bathrooms, shower recesses, podiums and common areas.
What we rectify
- Balconies and terraces: failed or incorrectly installed membranes, inadequate falls, blocked or missing drainage, failed perimeter and threshold details causing leaks into units below.
- Bathrooms and shower recesses: leaking showers, failed wet-area membranes, defective screeds and junction failures behind walls and under tiles.
- Common areas: podium decks, planter boxes, walkways, stairwells and lift wells affected by membrane breakdown or original construction defects.
- Below-ground structures: basements and retaining walls suffering penetration through failed tanking.
How it is delivered
Every rectification starts with diagnosis, not a patch. We identify the true failure, whether workmanship, product or design, and document it with photographs and a defensible scope. Replacement systems are designed to AS 3740 and AS 4654, installed by manufacturer-approved applicators, with warranties up to 20 years, and reinstatement delivered end to end under one contract.
Engaged by owners corporations and insurers where original workmanship has failed and the repair must be defensible and final.
A remediation rarely stops at one
