Water Ingress Rectification

Fixing the Cause, Not the Symptom

The fault

Water ingress rarely shows up where it enters. A stain on a ceiling, damp in a bedroom wall or efflorescence in a stairwell can originate metres away, at a failed flashing, a non-compliant roof detail or a defect in the external wall. Chasing the symptom leads to repeat call-outs. Finding the entry point ends the problem.

Common causes we rectify

  • Flashing failures: missing, corroded or poorly detailed flashings at parapets, penetrations, windows, doors and junctions between materials.
  • Non-compliant roof installation: insufficient pitch, incorrect laps, unsealed penetrations, defective box gutters, and undersized or blocked drainage.
  • External wall defects: failed sealant joints, missing cavity drainage and weep systems, and junctions that let water track in behind the finish.
  • Facade and junction defects: movement joints, balustrade fixings, hob and threshold details where water tracks into the envelope.

How it is delivered

We investigate first: site inspection, moisture mapping and, where required, controlled water testing to trace water to its entry point. You receive a written report identifying the failure mechanism, with photographs and a costed, itemised scope. Rectification is designed to the relevant standards and delivered as a complete package with full reinstatement. One contract, one warranty.

Our reports are written to stand up to scrutiny from insurers, engineers and committees.
