We do not just repair buildings

This is a family construction business, now in its second generation. Over more than thirty years we have taken properties through every stage of their life: design and documentation, engineering, structure, services, fit-out, handover, and the long years of maintenance and rectification that follow. There is no part of a building we have only read about.

The people doing it have been with us a long time. Architects, engineers and trades we have worked alongside for years, not a panel assembled per job. They know how we document, how we sequence and what we will not sign off, which is why a scope we issue holds up once the work is opened up.

That is the whole difference, and it shows up when something has failed. A contractor who has only ever repaired buildings sees the surface, and the surface is where patching happens: seal the crack, recoat the membrane, make good, and wait for it to come back next winter. Having built the substrate, the structure and the finish, we can read a failure back through the layers to whatever actually caused it, and rectify that instead.

It is also the cheaper answer over the life of the asset. Diagnosis costs more once. Patching costs less every single time, forever. We would rather do the work that ends the problem, which is why insurers, owners corporations and asset managers bring us the rectifications where the diagnosis has to be right the first time.
